Financial Benefits
- 36-Month Employment Contract: Fellows are offered a long-term contract, ensuring financial and professional stability for up to three years.
- Monthly Salary: The fellowship offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from CHF 6,194 to CHF 6,808 (net after tax).
- Internal Language Courses: Fellows can take advantage of language courses in English and/or French to enhance their communication skills.
- Comprehensive Health Plan: Fellows and their families receive full health coverage, along with membership in the CERN Pension Fund.

Eligibility Criteria
- Career Break of at least Two Years: Applicants must have taken a break from their career for at least two years for personal reasons, such as family responsibilities or health issues.
- Relevant Academic Background: Applicants must hold a degree in science or engineering and have appropriate professional experience.
- Research Fellowship: For those applying in experimental or theoretical physics, a Ph.D. is required, and postdoctoral experience should not exceed six years.
- CERN User Status: Applicants registered as users at CERN may need to explain how their status aligns with the program's requirements.
- Not Open to Current CERN Employees: Current CERN employees are not eligible to apply for this fellowship.
